Club Fitting Experience
During a typical fitting session, we listen to you and meticulously watch every detail of your swing. We explain the fitting process and develop a client profile through a series of measurements. The data includes information about your height, grip size, finger-to-floor length, wrist-to-floor length, posture and balance check, etc. and serve as a reference for all future fittings.
Typical club fitters adjust for lie and loft on every club. David takes fitting to a third level - total weight flow. Total weight flow is a philosophy whereby there is a natural weight progression as you move from club to club. Too frequently we find that not only is there too much variance between clubs, but that the driver weighs far too less than it should. Technically, this is called "stimulus to feel," the body's ability to respond to weight change. Contact David for an appointment for a total club fitting.
The swing analysis uses data as you swing wedge through 4 iron, as well as woods and driver shots. While you hit balls, we are busy taking and collecting data regarding your swing consistency ratio, typical trajectory, shot patterns, set-up and posture, swing speed readings and lie and impact readings.
We compare all of the data to the specifications of your existing clubs to see if your current set-up can simply be improved. We check for a number of variables, including set composition, club lengths, lofts, lies, shaft types, grip type and size, swing weight, total weight, frequencies, and flex index.
We then determine where you should start in order to take your to the next level. A set of demo clubs can be provided that are designed to your personal specifications. Then we work with you to match our recommendations with your goals. The result may be anything from tweaking your existing set to working on your swing or to help you develop a repeatable swing with your new custom set of clubs.
